![]() ![]() Enmerkar and the Lord of Aratta is a Sumerian text from around four thousand years ago, describing the conflicts between Enmerkar, king of Uruk, and the king of Aratta. The Tower of Babel (Hebrew: Migdal Bavel Arabic: Burj Babil), according to the Book of Genesis, was an enormous tower built in the plain. Genesis 10 gives the descendants of Noah and his sons and also gives the architect and ruler of Babel.
